Acceptance and Commitment Therapy specifically helps you to build skills to deal effectively with painful thoughts and feelings, accept what is out of your personal control, and commit to valued action that improves and enriches your life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is psychological therapy that uses practical self-help strategies to help you build more healthy ways of behaving, feeling and thinking.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a structured therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It encourages the patient to briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories.
